History
The first mention of Laurie finds herself in a document of 947. In 1352 the country was under the rule of Sanseverino. In 1381, a result of disputes arising in respect of the possession of the sub-feud Laurito among Sanseverino and Monforte, Bartholomew Arcamone, the lawyer of Charles III of Aragon recognized the rights of possession of the Monforte family. In 1404 King Ladislas separated the village of Lauro by Cuccaro, which was joined by freeing families from the village to pay the required subsidies Cuccaro, collections, etc.. Monforte I held it in possession of the feud, which has expanded to smaller towns nearby, until the abolition of feudalism.
